Class Descriptions

**Classes listed are tentative based upon student enrollment and staffing Final class schedule will be provided at back to school night.

Self-Contained Classrooms

Students in grades Pre-k, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade participate in self-contained classrooms throughout the enrichment day. Movement, music, games, and play are a big part of the school day. Students also learn important social skills, engage in Bible Stories, and enjoy exposure to a variety of enrichment topics that complement their home instruction.

Lower Elementary Rotation

Students in 2nd and 3rd grades rotate through an engaging set of classes that meets them at their developmental stage.  Typical classes include art, music, and extension classes related to core subjects. Classes will offer students the opportunity to work with peers, develop strong friendships, and explore areas of interest. Students also have a recess/PE time that will be supervised by their rotation teachers and led by their PE teacher which will allow students to choose from a variety of activities that promote teamwork and help to build physical coordination and fitness.


Upper Elementary Rotation

Students in 4th through 6th grades rotate through classes meant to both challenge them and engage them in activities that are more difficult to accommodate at home. Typical classes include art, physical education, music, and extension classes related to core subjects. In each class students are challenged to tackle a variety of projects together building skills in communication, cooperation, problem solving, and critical thinking. For our upper grades, Game School will allow students to engage in a variety of group, pair, and individual games that will allow practice in math and language arts skills, as well as logic, reasoning, and problem solving.

Junior High Rotation

Students in 7th and 8th grades rotate through a variety of classes meant to supplement and extend their homeschool education. Subjects typically covered include, music, art, and social studies as well as current events, and a devotion led by a pastor on staff. A focus on critical thinking and problem solving is central to classroom instruction. Junior High students will join with high school students for their PE time, separated by gender. Boys PE and Girls PE will encourage fitness and team work utilizing a variety of team sports and activities.
